Gold IPTV on Android TV Box, Phone and Tablet

Android is the most flexible device family for Gold IPTV. The same account works on an Android TV box under the television, the phone in your pocket and a tablet in the kitchen — and the setup is nearly identical on all three.

Which player to install

  • TiviMate — the best interface on Android TV by a distance. The free version is fine; the paid version adds multiple playlists and recording.
  • IPTV Smarters Pro — simplest to set up, works on phones and boxes alike.
  • IBO Player — a good middle ground, popular on cheaper boxes.

On an Android TV box, use TiviMate. On a phone or tablet, use IPTV Smarters Pro — TiviMate is built for a remote control, not a touchscreen.

Step 1 — Install

Search for the player in the Google Play Store on your device and install it. Most of these players are on Play, so there is nothing to sideload. If a specific player is not available in your country’s store, message us and we will point you at the developer’s official download page.

Step 2 — Add your playlist

Open the player and choose to add a playlist. Pick Xtream Codes (sometimes labelled “Login with Xtream Codes API”) rather than M3U — it brings across the TV guide, the film library and the series catalogue, whereas M3U only gives you live channels.

Then enter your username, password and server URL from the activation email. On a phone this is easy; on a box, use the on-screen keyboard carefully and watch for capitals.

Step 3 — TiviMate setup worth doing

TiviMate rewards ten minutes of configuration more than any other player:

  • Create channel groups — build a “Sport” group and a “Kids” group and you will almost never scroll the full list again
  • Set the EPG time offset if the guide is showing programmes an hour out — this is a timezone setting, not a fault
  • Turn on “Remember last channel” so the box resumes where you left off
  • Reduce the buffer size if channels take a long time to start, or increase it if they stutter mid-stream

Watching on mobile data

Gold IPTV works on 4G and 5G. Be aware of what it costs you in data: roughly 1 GB per hour for HD and up to 3 GB per hour for 4K. If you have a capped plan, drop the stream quality in the player settings before you leave the house.

One account, several devices

You can install the app and sign in on as many devices as you own. What your plan limits is how many can stream at the same time. A one-device plan means the phone, the box and the tablet are all logged in, but only one of them plays at any moment. If two people need to watch different things at once, you need the two-device plan.
